Description
SIGHT GAUGE TANK EXTENSION ADAPTORS
If you are installing a plastic tank, the fuel outlet at the bottom of the tank will be recessed and you will require a sight gauge tank extension extension fitting to ensure successful installation of a bottom outlet gauge.
Theses are 1″ male BSP with a back nut one end and 1/2″ BSP female the other end for connecting either a Tankmaster valve or a Push Button Sight Gauge.
These are available in 4 different common sizes:
- 1 1/4″ (35mm)
- 3 1/2″ (90mm)
- 6 1/4″ (160mm)
- 7 1/4″ (180mm)
They are aluminium bodied extension with a brass back nut to secure in position on your tank outlet, terminating in a 1/2″ Female to take the Tankmaster body.
This will then enable the installation of your sight gauge to go up the side of the tank from the valve rather than being encumbered by the side of the tank. The various lengths are to suit different depths of recess on the many different style and manufacturer of fuel storage tank.
Once installed its important to make sure people do not use it as a step to view the sight gauge this could potentially damage the threads and lead to a costly oil leak.
